On September 30, China announced that holders of ordinary Portuguese passports can enter China without a visa for up to 15 days for business, tourism, family visits, and transit.
The Portugal-China Chamber of Commerce praised the visa-free policy, emphasizing that since entrepreneurs' travel plans often change, the trial implementation of this policy will provide Portuguese businesspeople with greater flexibility in planning their business trips.
Pedro Reis, Portugal's Minister of Economy, stated that the visa-free policy provides favorable conditions for Portuguese business travel, is crucial for economic cooperation between China and Portugal, and will contribute to Portugal’s economic growth and internationalization.
